SALOOM

Delete your Saloom account

Parent/guardian and driver accounts can request deletion from inside the Saloom app or through this public request channel.

For security, Saloom may verify that the request comes from the account owner before completing deletion.

Option 1 — Request deletion in the app

Open Saloom, go to Account, choose Delete account, confirm your password, and submit the request. You can view the request status in the app while it is under review.

Option 2 — Request deletion without the app

Email saloom.business@gmail.com from an address you can access. Include:

Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive student information by email.

How long deletion takes

After ownership is verified, Saloom normally reviews and completes an eligible deletion request within 7 days.

For a driver, final deletion cannot be completed while an active transport group or an in-progress trip is still assigned to that driver. Once those operational responsibilities are reassigned or completed, the request is normally completed within 7 days.

Account access may remain available while the request is being reviewed so an active school-transport responsibility can be completed safely.

What is deleted or anonymized

When deletion is completed, Saloom deletes the login account and removes account-specific access credentials and notification-device registrations.

For a driver account, Saloom also removes activation credentials and stored precise GPS history, clears navigation authorization tokens, removes the driver's national ID, name and phone from the operational driver profile, and anonymizes the vehicle plate number. The remaining operational driver record is kept only as a non-identifying reference where historical trip, payment, safety, accounting, or dispute records require referential integrity.

For parent/guardian accounts, Saloom deletes the account and associated guardian profile data except information that must reasonably be retained for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute, or audit purposes.

Data that may be retained

Some transport, safety, payment, dispute, security, accounting, or audit records may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal or operational obligations. Where practical, identifying information is removed or anonymized. Retained records are not used for advertising.
